Nadisko

From the age of 13, Alex Hopkins adored dance music. It was also at this young age that he began composing electronic music. This sparked a passion like no other in his love for musical creation throughout the years that were to follow. In mid 2009 Alex met Blake Wood, a music lover of the heavier styles of dance who shared the same passion for electronic music.

From this rose NADISKO. Songs such as Smokin’, ‘I Am’, ‘A Piece Of Berlin’ and ‘Filth’, as well as the ‘Im So Crazy’ remix, quickly caught the attention of the underground scene. (Continues on to ‘Check Your Disco EP’)

Compared to the tunes of early Boys Noize, while retaining all originality and flair with songs such as ‘Ringer’ the two Sydney-siders are continuously refining their sound to bring a raw, hard depth to the tunes they create. Being locally renowned for playing sets that are widespread in their appeal from techno, electro, nu rave and indie, it is certain that they are jammed with the freshest songs.

While performing as part of the ‘Trashbags Posse’, Nadisko has supported several internationals and has played various headlining shows in Sydney. Having played consistently at World Bar, Nevermind, Henry Afrikas, Oxford Art Factory, Ruby Rabbit and Home Nightclub, the boys has been creating hype both locally and internationally. The release of their debut EP, ‘Check Your Disko’ in August 2010 on Belgium label ‘Monkey See Monkey Do’ was well received throughout the dance scene.

On top of releasing an EP, Nadisko mixed a CD named ‘First Blood’ with Belgium noise bringer Gtronic. This was an exclusive Australian release. Nadisko are currently working on their second EP to be released with Sydney based TUFF EM UP! Records, which will encapsulate their coarse, metallic sound in a collection of diverse originals.

Keep an eye out for Nadisko as they may be setting your local dance floor alight soon!
