The new rise of Cherie

Posted By: Trashbags HQ

If you remember the time of Valerie Cherie collective, then it’s been quite some time, the wave has definitely felt a hit in the past couple of years, We are ever so faithful to the artists we have loved and still to this day admire for pushing this 80s influenced music.

Today we feature Kristine, we don’t know much about this girl, but one thing we do know is that she has an immaculate voice, completely 80s, it’s the kind of music you would hear Cyndi Lauper, Pamela Stanley, Stevie Nicks & Kim Carnes produce;-  which we adore (we are 80s at heart)

She has collaborated with Mitch Murder who has featured on Trashbags Kids previously (http://www.trashbags.net.au/mitch-murder/) – and judging by her soundcloud, she is following the right groups who are also pushing that direction – Valerie Cherie, Grum, 80s Stallone (one of our favourite), TNUC etc.

One thing attribute that Kristine possesses is that she is a vocalist, and as we have already said (above) it’s by far the most impressive voice we have heard, completely nails the whole 80s influence wave to the T. – Modern love will prove this,  she has not over composed the track, which is very important, as we hear artists go to the extreme with overboard synths & Structure.

Modern Love is purely a genius track, keeping the synth very simple and letting her voice doing the rest. – If it were done earlier, it should have featured in the re-make of “Foot Loose”
