The KASKADE Dynasty
Posted By: JONOKASKADE RETURNS – SYDNEY BRACES FOR A HOUSE CATACLSYM
The last two years have seen the Sydney scene undergo a rapid transformation. As a culture, we’ve come to develop a highly refined sense of two things: quality music and quality parties. Thanks to the patrons and pioneers that have set today’s standard in the industry – the biggest acts in the world call Sydney home and froth at the opportunity to assault our senses and fuel our nights into mornings.

But for all the Juggernauts that tear up a storm behind our decks, there are those that have made themselves a precious commodity. It’s been two years since KASKADE hit our shores; two long years of Sydney sitting, waiting and pining, but now… the House Titan returns. The combined forces of Trashbags, Fuzzy, Dirty Funken Beats and FAKE Club unleash… KASKADE – Dynasty Tour.
Since his inception in 2001 KASKADE has spent the last decade shaping himself into today’s undisputed lord and master of house music. Seldom few can match his unwaivering conviction to the genre – from humble beginnings of dorm room DJing in the early 90′s to his domination of the world stage in the 00′s, KASKADE has never stopped perfecting the craft of his self-proclaimed “melodic electronic music”.
2010 saw Kaskade take his brand of house infused mayhem to new heights with his uninhibited onslaught on clubs and festivals across the globe. Back home on U.S. soil he wasted no time sending shockwaves across the nation, with special mention of Kaskade’s pandemonium at Chicago Lollapalooza and Las Vegas’ Encore Beach Club – preludes to the Greenwood’s debaucherous riot on the 23rd.

After 10 years of tearing up decks the world over and producing some of the biggest house tracks to date, it’s safe to say prestige comes standard for Kaskade. Grammy nominations, countless awards for chart topping albums and singles and can claim being the 35th best DJ in the world according to DJ Magazines (2010) 100 greatest DJs. So it comes as no surprise when you glance over some of Kaskade’s collaborations only to see some of the biggest names in the world – Guetta, Tiesto, Deadmau5, Van Buuren.
With a discography behind him boasting six albums, over eight EPs, over 70 remixes and a monster collection of singles, Kaskade stands as one of the powerful forces shaping the modern House movement. After his two year hiatus on aussie shores, Kaskade returns on the 23rd to shake the very foundations of Greenwood and assault the hearts and minds of the raging crowds there.
Providing additional support to Kaskade’s auditory onslaught stands international heavyweights: Boys Noize rec’s Djedjotronic & Housemeister, Dimmak’s Malente and UK’s Calvertron – going shoulder to shoulder with our home-grown deck demons: Sweat it Out’s Ajax, Bang Gang 12″s Lightyear and Tuff em Up!’s Redial.

Assuring Greenwood will be fuelled with anarchy well into the night, Sydney’s vanguard of DJs will be out in full force and taking no prisoners.
Spanning across three rooms there’s something and someone to satisfy every seasoned party-harder: Centre stage in the courtyard, the Boys Noize (Chapel) room and last but not least the infamous Death by Dub room feat. Glovecats.
Tickets are burning out like wildfire, so be sure to grab yours ASAP from Moshtix or through selected promoters. Don’t be left standing there like a muppet on the 24th wondering why and how you missed: KASKADE – DYNASTY TOUR.
