What’s the meaning behind the name Stereoliez ?

It is quite funny … there is no a specific meaning !!This name was born during and harder training in the gym … Maybe one day we’ll start doing country music … but Stereoliez will be good as well !!

Tell us a bit about yourself, childhood memories ?

We had a poor and quite childhood … tv, videogames and lot of porno magazines !! Now it’s time for our revenge !!

Could you tell our readers a bit about your musical roots ? How and when did you know you wanted to produce dubstep / electro ?

We come from different rooster …  Me (Matteo) from a emo-core one, after sweating 12 years behind a drum-kit in different group and Luca from an old electro one .

We decide starting producing fidget – bassline in a period where it wasn’t not so much popular in our country, and after receiving new influences and the Uk experience we decide to turn our project into a totally dubstep/ Dnb one … obviously everything is bathed under our taste

How long have you been producing for ?

Now are almost 2 years …

Are there any producers at the moment you think we should be keeping our eyes on ?

For sure … there are a lot of young producers with talent around !! (We have to kill them all in a short period) …We think now our mate Mr. Skeleton is doing an excellent job with his work .

Would you say any other artists have had a strong influence on your work?

At the moment monsters like 16bit, Reso, Drumsound & Bassline Smith …  All artists that have a unique style !!

How did you hear about Tuff Em Up Records, and Trashbags!

Now, we think, Tuff Em Up Rec and Trashbag is the best collective you can find around, really original and with a lot of different roosters !!

Impossible don’t hear about it …

Tell us about your childhood crushes and your worldwide fame; have you managed to swing any of those girls in primary school who never spoke to you?

… as told before, we spend primary school years on Adult’s magazines !!

If you had to duel it out in the 1400’s what would be your weapon of choice?

Catapult and sword !!

If the world really ends in 2012, what do you think you will be known for, and if you somehow managed to survive, how do you think the rest of your life would play out?

Hope to be know for our simplicity (as persons), and our insanity (as musicians) … We’ll answer the second part of the question after 21/12-2012 (maybe not) !!

How many producers does it take to change a light bulb and why?

We think at least 10 …  One that bring the light and nine that allowed him to turn on itself and secure it

What has been your most memorable show you have played, and why?

First in London at Rhythm Factory with Downlink and the second in Milan with Skrillex  …  But we think the incoming American tour will give us others gigs to speak about !!
