What’s the meaning behind the name Geometry?

When we decided to launch the project “Geometry”, we didn’t know how to name it at all… We are doing scientific studies at school, so “Geometry” was born.

Tell us a bit about yourselves? What do you guys do when you’re not producing?

We are Paul and Adrien from Bordeaux. We work together for 1 year on the Geometry project, but we are before all good friends for 6 years now, we met at school and we share a lot of passions.

When we’re not producing, haha, this is a good question. Maybe… eating/gaming/mathematics/eating/sleeping

Could you tell our readers a bit about your musical roots? How and when did you know you wanted to produce electro?

Our roots aren’t very different. We both spent our childhood listening to hard rock, metal and punk (Marilyn Manson, Korn, Slipknot etc.). Maybe some of these artists had a strong influence on our songs (destroyed basses, big drums…), but when we’re producing, we’re also always looking for a melody.

We decided to start producing music when we saw that many small French artists could make some heavy work with not so much gear; we thought “we can try too“ . We began to produce just for fun in 2009/2010.

How long have you been producing for?

We finished and shared our first track (Succeeded in the Riot) 1 year ago.

Are there any producers at the moment you think we should be keeping our eyes on?

Yeah sure! Our French friends Dead Cat Bounce and Snapcrack are producing very big tunes! There are also Kisbeat, Chemical, L.A.S.E.R, Hack the System, Your Ol’ Lady, Partysmartie and Electrophants who are making some awesome work and deserve a lot of attention.

In 10 words or less how would you describe yourself?

Difficult question…

Oh shit! Your Studio is on fire! You only have time to save one piece of gear! What is it?

We are the gear! (But the laptop is maybe more important.)

Would you say any other artists have had a strong influence on your work?

Sure! As we said upper, a lot of artists from the hard rock scene had an influence on our work.

But, there are also many electro artists from such as Redial, Cyberpunkers, Gtronic, DJ Antention…

How did you hear about Tuff Em Up Records, and Trashbags!

We know Trashbags for a long time with Trashbags Kids blog. Btw, a lot of artists we enjoy are in Tuff Em Up Records.

Tell us about your childhood crushes and your worldwide fame; have you managed to swing any of those girls in primary school who never spoke to you?

A worldwide fame?!! About the girls, maybe we can tell you later, we’re still at school haha !

If you had to duel it out in the 1400’s what would be your weapon of choice?

A: Desert Eagle.

P: My laptop.

What a hell to survive alone !

How many producers does it take to change a light bulb and why?

Google said “Sorry a new lamp isn’t in the budget”..

What has been your most memorable show you have played, and why?

Actually it’s at Kulturfabrik in Switzerland. It was our first public set and we have to say that it was something very nice!

When will we be seeing you in Australia?

When Australians want us, it would be a pleasure
