Porn Cal. This bloke is from the UK and has only been producing for 4 months but you can already see the vast amount of talent he possesses. He cites his major influences to be Mr Oizo and SebastiAn and although their influence is clearly felt, it’s obvious that this guy is going to do whatever he wants. If you check out his soundcloud his music ranges from electro to nu funk to blue wave to minimalist although it’s hard to place them in an exact genre. There’s a certain quirkiness in each track (I guess that’s partly from the Mr Oizo influence) that makes it slightly off track from what you’d expect from the genre, in a good way.

Anyways Porn Cal has been so kind as to offer up his first EP for free download. It’s entitled Motorbitch and hits hard.
