I just received 4 tracks from a 2-piece electro band Holocron and boy can they produce some sound! The duo combine unique sampling and common day sounds, with heavy bass lines and ambient atmospheric drums to create a very impressive electronic act.
Holocron hail from New York where they have been featured on local blogs and have played on a number of alternate radio stations. Holocron are getting a very positive response and are sure to take the electronic scene by storm.
3 of the tracks I was sent are new and from the upcoming album. The three all fit and work together well, replacing one heavy and haunting sawtooth synth for another. The other track is a remix of the very famous beastie boys ‘intergalactic planetary’ I wasn’t sure about how they would approach this and if they would make it their own but you can be sure that they did! This remix is one of the most unique I have ever heard.
